Dr. Samantha Hummel earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The George Washington University in 2025, following a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Miami in 2021.
During her undergraduate studies, she gained hands-on experience working with a wide range of athletic programs, including 3 years with the Miami Hurricanes football, baseball, and soccer teams, as well as at a local Miami high school. Her clinical training has included diverse settings such as neurological inpatient/outpatient care and orthopedic outpatient clinics, providing her with a broad foundation in physical therapy. While studying for her Doctorate, Dr. Hummel served as a Teaching Assistant and tutor for her physical therapy peers.
Dr. Hummel is committed to delivering individualized, goal-oriented care tailored to each patient’s lifestyle and needs. She is a passionate advocate for accessibility in healthcare, having participated in the Roll on Capitol Hill, in Washington D.C., working alongside patients to introduce legislation promoting wheelchair accessible travel. Her dedication to inclusivity also shines through her previous work with adaptive sports programs at MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital, as she continues to support adaptive and Paralympic sports.
Outside the clinic, Samantha enjoys cheering on her favorite sports teams, spending time at the beach, and playing pickleball with friends and family.
